COASTAL SEA SAFARI BOAT TOUR
This tour lasts for approximately 2 hours as we explore the dramatic coastline of Lanzarote, which varies from the sheer cliffs of volcanic rock to the amazing topography of the backdrop of dormant volcanoes.
Our passage will depend on the prevailing weather but will take us within an area of 40 square nautical miles, bordered by Puntal El Barranquillo to the east and Punta Papagayo to the southwest. This may also allow us to explore the Los Ajaches coastline with its many coves which form the Bahía De Ávila stretching to Playa Quemada in the north.
On the cliffs south of Playa Quemada, in the wild, protected Ajaches park, white bird droppings mark the heronry, a cliff where hundreds of Grey Herons gather in the winter months. We then continue along the coast, seeing several amazing lava formations and caves that would be invisible from the land. We also pass the famous “Secret Garden” and the beach where the mysterious “El Paso De La Cruz” (more commonly known as “The Arrow”) can be seen.
And, if we are lucky, there is always the chance of encountering flying fish, sharks, turtles, dolphins, whales and a great variety of sea birds including Grey Herons, Little Egrets, Northern Gannets and Cory´s Shearwaters whilst at sea.
But, don´t forget, this is Nature´s Playground and there is never any guarantee of any sightings!!
